Role Description The Human Resources Business Partner is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area. This role collaborates closely with leaders and teams to align HR strategies with business objectives, providing guidance on workforce planning, organizational development, and change management in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising on HR policies, supporting employee relations, scheduling, overseeing performance management processes, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws. The Human Resources Business Partner will also lead talent acquisition, facilitate training and development initiatives, and contribute to employee engagement programs. The role requires being hands on, building strong, trust-based relationships across the organization and serving as a key point of contact for all HR-related inquiries.
Qualifications Experience in Human Resources (HR) and applying HR Policies in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Strong organizational skills and willing to get actively involved in both scheduling and recruitment. Demonstrated ability to manage Employee Relations, including conflict resolution and workplace investigations. Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law relevant to the Canadian and Quebec context. Background in Performance Management, including goal setting, feedback, and appraisal processes. Strong communication, interpersonal, and consulting skills, with ability to work closely with stakeholders. Experience working as an HR Business Partner or in a similar strategic HR role in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Proficiency with HRIS systems and basic data analysis for HR metrics and reporting. Ability to work on-site in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area and communicate effectively in English and French.
