Location: Canada (remote) Languages required: French and English
About the Role:
We are looking for compassionate and skilled EAP Clinical Counsellors to provide support to clients across Canada. This is a fully remote position, offering flexible day shifts or night shifts and the option for full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (30 hours/week) work. Salary ranges from $68,000 (day) to $74,000 (night), plus competitive benefits.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in mental health (social work, counselling, psychology, or related field).
- Licensure is not required; we actively support your journey to obtaining it through clinical supervision and dedicated allowances.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct client contact providing counselling or mental health services.
- Experience with clinical assessment tools and short-term counselling modalities such as Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, or Systemic counselling.
- Training in crisis intervention and supporting high-risk clients is a plus.
- Ability to work with clients experiencing substance abuse, crisis situations, mental health symptoms, or relationship/family challenges.

Responsibilities:
- Provide single-session telephonic and video counselling, in-the-moment support, and crisis management.
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine suitability for short-term counselling.
- Manage high-risk situations, collaborating with clients and referring appropriately.
- Appropriately refer clients to external resources or within WPO as part of our holistic approach.
- Develop clear and concise treatment plans and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of care and excellence.
- Any additional tasks pertinent to the position, as deemed appropriate by management.
