Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and team-oriented HR Generalist to join our Calgary head office on a 1-year contract to cover a maternity leave, with the potential to transition into a full-time permanent role. This role will support a wide range of Human Resources functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources (HR Generalist Duties):
- Administer and manage employee benefits programs
- Coordinate full-cycle onboarding and offboarding processes
- Support employee relations and provide HR guidance to staff
- Maintain and manage HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now)
- Assist with payroll administration by providing accurate and timely data
- Ensure employee records and documentation are accurate and up to date
- Support HR compliance and policy implementation
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Human Resources, Administration, or a similar role
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS systems is an asset
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, team-first attitude
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
